Sporting Tooting 1 PFFC 1

Ally, 18 March 2012

Yesterday's match had to be abandoned just after half time after a serious injury to one of Sporting Tooting's players. The score was 1-1 at the time after a sublime free-kick by Angel put the Reds in front, only for a long range effort by Tooting put them level at half time. Everyone at the club wishes the injured player, Helder, well and Matt has communicated this to Krishna, Tooting's manager. We also, like everyone in football, wish Fabrice Muamba well in the battle for his life. This weekend is not one we will remember with fondness.

Later in the season, it was decided to accept the result at the time of Helder's injury as the final score, rather than trying to reschedule it during the crowded end-of-season fixture list.
